The Portable Video Stand came about when I finally figured out how to mount a portable DVD player near the ceiling of a vehicle without damaging the interior of the vehicle.  I have five children and 4 cars and one portable DVD player.  It needed to be steady, adjustable and portable.  Whether it is a 2 hour trip to the cabin or 6 hours to Chicago, this stand works great.  This stand sets-up quickly.   Because it is adjustable, the DVD platform can be raised to the ceiling so there is less glare on the video screen during daylight hours and for better viewing by all passengers.  My children have enjoyed using it and it makes trips a breeze.  It can be used in all four of my vehicles and can be easily taken out and stored when not in use. 

I have tried several versions and some did not stay in place and some twisted easily.  It needed to fit tight, stay compressed for pressure, be affordable and not harm the vehicle.  When I found the correct formula I filed for a patent (2009).  These are made here in the USA.  The Aluminum base is an imported part.
