1. Find the approximate height needed.
2. Add about 2" to this measurement and twist lock.
3. Place bottom (Spring end) in the correct position.
4. Compress and "wedge" into place.
5. Release for pressure.
6. Stand should now be securely in place.  Tug and push to make sure.
